Mark Ackers

Mark Ackers is a seasoned geophysicist currently serving as a Geophysical Advisor at Vår Energi, where contributions are made to the Geophysical Services Team. Previous experience includes a role as Technical Services Lead at Sval Energi, overseeing a team of subsurface specialists while maintaining a hands-on approach as a geophysical specialist. Mark has extensive expertise from Spirit Energy as a Principal Geophysicist and Senior Geophysicist, as well as from Centrica Energy and Norwegian Energy Company ASA in geophysical applications and rock physics. Early career roles include positions at Statoil, BP, and Schlumberger, focused on seismic data interpretation and acquisition. Mark holds an MSc in Geophysics from Durham University and a BEng (Hons) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of the West of Scotland.
