Mathilde Cot is a seasoned professional in safety and engineering with extensive experience in barrier and risk management. Currently serving as the Discipline Lead Barrier Management and Risk & Barrier Management Advisor at Vår Energi since May 2022, Mathilde previously held the position of Principal Consultant Safety Technology at Equinor from January 2011 to May 2022. Prior to that, Mathilde worked as a Safety Engineer at Repsol YPF, and as a Gas Transmission Network Engineer at Gaz de France, where responsibilities included work in both the transmission network control center and the investigation division. Mathilde began the career as a Process and Safety Engineer at Shell and undertook an internship at Shell Gabon. Educational qualifications include an Executive MBA from IE Business School, a Master of Science in Refining, Gas, and Engineering from IFP School, and a Master's degree in Energy and Process Engineering from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Nancy.
