Eric Miller

Eric Miller is a Principal Mechanisms Engineer at Varda Space Industries, focusing on the development of microgravity manufacturing payloads for pharmaceuticals and related industries since April 2023. Prior experience includes serving as Principal Engineer for Optomechatronic Systems at Blue Marble Communications Inc., where responsibility included optics, mechanisms, and control system development for satellite communication systems. Eric held the position of Mechanical Systems Engineer at Amazon, working on pointing, acquisition, and tracking systems for optical inter-satellite links, and also contributed to free-space optical communication systems at Facebook. Earlier career roles include Mechanical Engineer at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, specializing in mechanical hardware design for ruggedized laser systems, and a Mechanical Engineering Intern position involving detailed hardware design and prototype assembly. Eric Miller holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UC San Diego and San Diego State University.
