Josh Martin

Josh Martin has an extensive work experience in government affairs, policy, and legislative roles. Josh currently holds the position of Vice President for Government Affairs at Varda Space Industries since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Vice President for Government Affairs at American Defense International from October 2019 to April 2023. Josh also served as the Chief of Staff for Congressman Mac Thornberry in the U.S. House of Representatives from November 2009 to October 2019. Josh was previously the Health Policy Director for Senator Richard Burr in the United States Senate from January 2009 to November 2009. Josh also had a role as the Deputy Chief of Staff & Legislative Director for Congressman Michael Burgess in the U.S. House of Representatives from January 2003 to January 2009. Josh started their career in 2001 as the Health and Human Services Policy Director at the Texas Office of State and Federal Relations, and prior to that, they worked as a Budget and Policy Analyst for Governor Rick Perry from January 2001 to May 2001.

Josh Martin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from The University of Texas at Austin from 1996 to 2000. Josh also studied Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution at American University for a brief period in 1998.
