Matt Parker

Matt Parker has extensive work experience in the aerospace industry. Matt is currently working as a Principal Spacecraft Engineer at Varda Space Industries, where they focus on spacecraft development for on-orbit manufacturing. Prior to this, they served as the CTO at Rocketman Industries and held various roles at FMI, a Spirit AeroSystems Co., including Senior Application Engineer and Engineering Manager. Matt also worked as a Propulsion Test Engineering Manager at Rocket Lab USA. In addition, they have worked at SpaceX as a Manager for F9 Engines, Lead Test Engineer, and Propulsion Test Engineer. Earlier in their career, they gained experience at GE Aviation and Pratt & Whitney as a Materials & Process Engineering Co-op and a Manufacturing Engineering Intern respectively.

Matt Parker received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2009. Matt later pursued a Master's degree in Data Science at Harvard Extension School from 2020 to 2023.
