The name VARDIAN and our logo was inspired by the Old Norse word "varde," which referred to a watchfire or beacon used during the Viking Age. These varde fires acted as guardians, guiding travellers, warning of danger, and offering visibility across vast distances. Incidentally, Varde is also the name of the garrison city in western Denmark where the founders graduated as young artillery officers in the Danish Army long ago. VARDIAN symbolizes our heritage, vigilance, guidance and commitment to safety and security.
