Ron Smith

Ron Smith has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ron began their career as a Software Engineer at WordPerfect Corporation in 1988 and worked there for a decade. Ron then joined 3Com as a Software Engineering Lead, where they worked on various utilities and applications for mobile computing. In 2002, Ron joined Navitaire as a Software Engineering Technical Lead, leading a team in developing and maintaining Windows GUI applications for airline reservation systems. Ron also added enhancements to kiosk check-in programs and web-based reservation systems. Ron then worked at CG4 Solutions as a Software Engineering Team Lead, developing applications for LEAN manufacturing and fixing bugs in Legacy handheld applications. After that, they worked at LANDesk Software as a Network Software Engineer for six years. From 2010 to 2012, Ron worked as a Senior Software Engineer at KomBea Corp. and then joined AccessData as a Consultant and Contract Software Engineer. Currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer at Varex Imaging Corporation, where they develop features for a C# desktop application used for testing and configuring x-ray flat panel detectors.

Ron Smith received their Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from Brigham Young University from 1982 to 1989.
