Michael G Smith is the HSEQ Manager for Vårgrønn, a Norwegian company focused on offshore wind energy in Northern Europe. They bring over 30 years of experience in managing environment, safety, quality, risk, and sustainability. Their previous roles include Senior Environmental Consultant at BMTCordah, Senior HSE Advisor at Talisman Energy Norge AS, and Environmental Lead for Talisman Energy Norge AS. Michael has also held positions at LOTOS Exploration and Production Norge AS and PGNiG Upstream Norway AS. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Surveying and Mapping Sciences from the University of East London and a Master of Science in Marine Resource Management from Heriot-Watt University.
