Rob Scott

Dr. Rob Scott is a medical doctor and scientific advisor who has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 20 years. Rob is currently employed as a scientific advisor at Variant Bio, a position they have held since May 2020. Prior to that, they served as the chief medical officer and head of development at AbbVie from April 2016 to May 2020, where they were responsible for leading the company's advancement of early and late stage development programs across a broad range of therapeutic areas. Rob has also worked at Windtree Therapeutics, Inc., Oncospherix Inc., Draupnir Bio, Morningside BioPharma Advisory, ArisGlobal, Confo Therapeutics, and Bioethics International. In addition to their work in the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Scott also serves on the board of Transcelerate and is a member of the PhRMA Biomedical Advisory Committee.

Rob Scott has a MbChB from University of Cape Town and a BSc in Microbiology and Biochemistry from University of Cape Town.
