Dexter To is a Senior Threat Researcher at Varist, bringing nearly twenty years of experience in the security industry focused on detecting viruses, malware, exploits, and phishing. Prior to Varist, Dexter worked at Cyren from 2018 to 2023, where they analyzed phishing emails, developed detection rules, and collaborated on innovative security solutions. Dexter's earlier role at Trend Micro from 2011 to 2018 encompassed various engineering positions, including Senior Research Engineer and Senior Antivirus Engineer, where they contributed significantly to malware detection and customer support initiatives. Dexter holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Santo Tomas, earned between 1999 and 2003.
