Michael Zörer

Michael Zörer has worked in the clinical operations field since 2002. Theircareer began at AMGEN, where they served as a Clinical Research Associate and was responsible for studies in oncology and nephrology in Austria. In 2005, they joined Baxter Innovations GmbH as a Clinical Project Manager, where they were responsible for operational parts of clinical studies in multiple indications and phases. From 2012 to 2022, they worked at AOP Orphan Pharmaceuticals, where they held multiple roles, including Senior Group Leader Clinical Operations, Head of Clinical Operations, and Group Leader Clinical Operations. In 2022, they moved to VarmX, where they currently serve as Head of Clinical Operations.

Michael Zörer obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Vienna University in 2001. Prior to that, they obtained their Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Vienna in 1988. In 2002, they obtained their Doktor der Naturwissenschaften (Ph. D. in natural sciences) from the University of Vienna. Michael also holds a PhD from Vienna University.
