Assaf Karpol is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in software development and technology management. Currently serving as VP of Engineering at Varonis since January 2014, Assaf has also held the roles of Director of Engineering and Software Development Group Manager, overseeing teams for the DatAnywhere product, which facilitates file sharing and collaboration without altering IT infrastructure. Prior to Varonis, Assaf was the CTO at Great Lever, a firm focused on algorithmic trading, and held various positions including R&D Director, Project Manager, and Team Leader at SunGard, where development teams were managed for both startups and established companies. Assaf holds a BSc in Computer Science from Shenkar College, graduated in 2000.
