Ian McIntyre is an experienced professional in the field of information security and network defense. Currently serving as the Director of Managed Data Detection and Response at Varonis since 2018, Ian has previously worked as a Computer Network Defense Analyst at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard from 2016 to 2018. Ian's early career includes a role as a Graduate Student Intern at the CERT Insider Threat Center of Carnegie Mellon University in 2014 and 2015, as well as serving as a Chapter Leadership Consultant for Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, overseeing operations across 17 campuses. Ian holds a Master of Science in Information Security Policy and Management and a Bachelor of Science in International Relations and Politics & Policy and Management, both from Carnegie Mellon University.
