Scott Shafer

Scott Shafer is a seasoned professional in sales engineering and risk management, currently serving as Director of Sales Engineering and Technology Evangelist at Varonis since July 2021. Previously, Scott held various senior leadership roles at Bottomline Technologies from October 2015 to June 2021, including Senior Director of Governance, Risk and Compliance. Prior experience includes positions at Fiserv, Open Solutions, and The Weiland Financial Group, with a strong focus on risk management and customer support. Scott is pursuing ongoing education at DePaul University, having earned a Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, and Network Security from the same institution, along with earlier education at Marquette University and Carmel High School.
