Sharon Sahar is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in research and development. Currently serving as R&D Group Manager at Varonis since December 2023, Sharon previously held the position of Head of API Security Engineering at Checkmarx from January 2021 to December 2023. Prior experience includes leading R&D at STELLARES, managing web application firewall and network security teams at Imperva, and co-founding LACOON Mobile Security. Sharon’s career began as a software engineer in the IDF and includes roles at Verint, McAfee, and LACOON. Sharon holds a B.A. in Computer Science and Economics from The Open University, completed in 2013.
