Tom Barnea

Tom Barnea is a Security Specialist - Tier II at Varonis since October 2023, with a strong focus on digital forensics and incident response (DFIR). Prior to this role, Tom served as a Group Facilitator and Educational Coordinator at the Hebrew Scouts Movement in Israel, where expertise in managing educational programs and organizing special events was demonstrated. Tom also held leadership positions within the J6 & Cyber Defense Directorate of the IDF, first as a Team Leader, responsible for the comprehensive redesign of the Cyber Security Practitioner Course, and then as an Instructor, successfully training future cybersecurity specialists. A solid foundation in networking protocols and secure network architecture design is complemented by a high school education from Mekif Yehud High School.
