Michael Wing

Mike Wing is the President of VAST Data, and they have been in the storage industry for over 15 years. Mike started their career at EMC in September 2003 as a Global Account Manager. In this role, they were responsible for managing storage sales for EMC's largest customers. Mike then moved to Dell EMC in August 2006 as the Senior Vice President of Primary Storage. In this role, they led Dell EMC's Primary Storage Go-To-Market, focusing on sales, positioning, and the importance of the flash pillar of Dell EMC's Modern Data Center strategy.

Under Mike's leadership, Dell EMC became the runaway market leader in All Flash storage with 40% market share. Dell EMC went from worst to 1st in All Flash storage in just 6 weeks in Q4 2013 and has since sold over $2B in All Flash storage products. On Leap Day 2016, Dell EMC announced general availability of the VMAX All Flash and DSSD products, and they have a number of other powerful announcements coming in the near future. Mike looks forward to working with Dell EMC's customers to help them solve real business problems and to help them transform their business by building a Modern Data Center - Simple, Powerful and Automated.
