Noa Cohen

Noa Cohen has a diverse work experience, starting from their role as the Director of Engineering at VAST Data in 2017. In this position, they were responsible for managing the entire release cycle and collaborating with company leadership and other senior function heads to shape and execute the product roadmap.

Prior to that, Noa worked at Dell EMC XtremIO from 2012 to 2017. They started as a Software Team Leader, leading a team of 5 engineers and designing high-availability logic for different hardware and software failures. Later, they became a Software Group Manager, responsible for forming and leading the Logical Volume Management Group, growing it from 5 to 20 engineers across four teams. They also remained hands-on in designing and implementing complex architectures.

Before joining Dell EMC XtremIO, Noa worked as a CS Researcher and Teaching Assistant at Tel Aviv University from 2010 to 2012, and as a Student Software Engineer at Mellanox Technologies from 2009 to 2010.

Noa's earlier work experience includes a role as a Head of Combat Instructors Unit in the Nahal Brigade of the Israel Defense Forces from 2003 to 2006, where they managed a team of 15 soldiers and were responsible for coordinating different forces and creating tutorials for combat soldiers.

Noa Cohen holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Bioinformatics - Computer Science and Systems Biology from Tel Aviv University, which they obtained from 2010 to 2012. Prior to their master's degree, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Bioinformatics - Computer Science and Biology at Tel Aviv University from 2007 to 2010.
