Ray Coetzee

Ray Coetzee is an experienced technology professional with a specialized focus on systems engineering and storage solutions. Currently serving as the Director of Systems Engineering at VAST Data since July 2021, Ray has previously held significant roles at the European Bioinformatics Institute as a Senior Storage Engineer, and at Seagate Technology as a Compute Team Leader and Pre-Sales Solution Architect. Ray's expertise encompasses the design and implementation of high-performance storage solutions, as well as leadership in both pre-sales and technical support roles across various organizations, including DataDirect Networks and Saudi Business Machines. With a diploma in Electronics Engineering from Russel Road College, Ray has built a comprehensive background in system integration and engineering over a career that began with roles in automation and technical support.
