Vaughn Stewart

Vaughn Stewart's work experience begins in 1992 when they worked as the Director of Revenue Operations at Marriott International. Vaughn then moved on to various roles at NetApp, starting as a Professional Services Engineer and eventually becoming the Director of Product & Strategy: Hybrid Cloud. At NetApp, they also served as the Technical Alliance Director, leading the alliance and strategic initiatives between NetApp and VMware. After their time at NetApp, Vaughn joined Pure Storage, where they held multiple positions, including Chief Evangelist and VP of Technology Team for Global Systems Integrators. Vaughn was responsible for developing Pure's global tech team and creating the storage-as-a-service product offering. Vaughn also served on the advisory boards of Actifio and Onthread. Currently, they are the VP of Systems Engineering at VAST Data, leading the Systems Engineering team for the Western region of the Americas to help organizations adopt AI-ready infrastructure.

Vaughn Stewart began their education in 1986 at Romeo High School, where they completed their secondary education. In 1988, they attended Eastern Michigan University, studying Accounting and Finance for a year. In 1990, Vaughn pursued further education at Macomb Community College, specializing in Computer Science.

Throughout their career, Vaughn also obtained several certifications. In 1998, they became a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and also achieved the Sun Certified System Administrator for the Solaris Operating System certification from Sun Microsystems. In 1999, they earned the Cisco Certified Network Associate certification. In the following years, Vaughn obtained several other certifications, including the NetApp Certified Storage Engineer certification in 2000, the Brocade Certified Network Professional (BCNP) certification in 2001, and the IBM Certified Advanced Database Administrator - DB2 certification in 2002. Additionally, they attained the VMware Certified Professional certification in 2006.

Recently, Vaughn acquired two certifications from Section4: Section4 Certified Product Positioning and Section4 Certified Storytelling in 2022.
