Anthony Chavez is a Senior Avionics System Test Engineer at Vast, contributing to the development of the world's first commercial space station since August 2025. Prior experience includes serving as the Surface Biology Geology TIR Platform Simulator Lead at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where responsibilities encompassed engineering lead roles in design, development, and delivery of platform simulators, as well as managing project schedules and resources. Additional roles at NASA involved electronics engineering and test leadership for flight data telemetry units and integration testing for carbon plume mapping instruments. Anthony has also worked for SAIC as a Software and Avionics Engineer, focusing on flight software requirements and avionics system assessments. Previous experience includes electrical engineering projects at Wytcote, Inc. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering Technology from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, an Associate of Arts and Sciences from Chaffey College, and is currently pursuing a Master's in Computer Engineering at USC Viterbi School of Engineering.
