Sam Throne

Samuel Throne is a seasoned engineering professional currently serving as the Sr. Director of Structures, Dynamics and Analysis at Vast since June 2023, where leadership encompasses the management of design teams for Haven-1 structures. Prior experience includes the role of Director of Structures at Vast, where Samuel led the design and production of the primary pressure hull for Haven-1, focusing on material selection, fabrication planning, and load path architecture. Samuel's extensive background includes a tenure at SpaceX from June 2015 to May 2023, progressing through various engineering roles, ultimately reaching the position of Sr. Manager in Structures Design and Fabrication. Educationally, Samuel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, completed in 2015.
