Dean Carr

Dean Carr has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Dean started their career in 2010 as a Planning Administrator at VION Food, where they improved existing software systems. In 2011, they joined Galleria RTS as a Software Developer, working on projects for clients such as Walmart and Tesco.

In 2013, Dean joined Synectics Solutions, initially working as a Database Developer before moving on to roles as an MI Analyst/BI Developer and a Data Scientist. Dean played a key role in developing fraud detection models and creating machine learning prediction pipelines.

In 2016, Dean worked at The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation as a Data Specialist, where they improved automated financial trade reconciliation reports and managed a small team. Dean also worked at RedEye as a Solutions Architect, leading a team of data analysts and focusing on data science and machine learning capabilities.

Dean's most recent role was at Airangel, starting in 2021 as a Data Engineer. Dean was responsible for data cleansing and reconciliation tasks, as well as data migration and report development for clients.

In 2023, Dean joined vast:visibility as a Data Engineer, where they are currently working.

Throughout their career, Dean has demonstrated their expertise in data engineering, solutions architecture, and data science, working with various clients and teams.

Dean Carr obtained a degree in Computer Science & Psychology from Keele University, where they studied from 2007 to 2010. Dean further pursued higher education and completed an MBA in Big Data Analytics from Wrexham University between 2020 and 2022.
