Jim Smith

Jim Smith is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in government acquisition, particularly within the United States Special Operations Command, where they managed over $6 billion annually. As a former Acquisition Executive and Deputy Director for Acquisition, Jim played a pivotal role in the development and procurement of state-of-the-art technologies, overseeing more than 200 projects and leading a team of over 1,000 personnel. Following a 27-year career as an Army officer, they transitioned to the Senior Executive Service, further demonstrating their commitment to enhancing the industrial base and technology sector in support of national defense. Currently, Jim serves on various advisory boards and boards of directors, providing valuable insights to organizations such as Certus Core, Archer, and Vatn Systems.
