Fredrik Carlsson

Fredrik Carlsson is an experienced professional in the field of electrical engineering, currently serving as Acting Director of Data Analytics & ICT Solutions at Vattenfall since January 2008, where responsibilities include managing R&D portfolios focused on smart grids, smart meters, asset management, and power quality. Previously, Fredrik held the position of Senior R&D Engineer, overseeing programs related to smart grids, asset management, power quality, and wind power. Fredrik's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, with research focused on hybrid vehicles and electrical machine diagnostics, and an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the same institution. Early education was completed at Saltsjöbadens Samskola, specializing in natural sciences.
