Hamid Mushtaq

Hamid Mushtaq is an experienced Data Engineer and Senior Consultant with a diverse background in big data and software engineering. Currently at Vattenfall since October 2022 and at Devoteam since March 2021, Hamid has previously held roles such as Data Integration Engineer at Etos, (Big) Data Engineer at Gemeente Rotterdam, and Software Engineer/Bioinformatician at Maastricht UMC+. Hamid's expertise includes building Data Lakehouse platforms, data ingestion, and developing large genomics databases using Apache Spark. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering and a Master's in Embedded Systems from Delft University of Technology, complemented by a Bachelor's in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from NUST, Pakistan. Notable achievements include winning the 2nd prize in the Apache Spark Makers Build Hackathon and joint publication with IBM on post-sequencing DNA analysis.
