Ingemar Engkvist

Ingemar Engkvist is an experienced nuclear energy professional currently serving as a Member of the Board of Directors at Vattenfall and an Executive Advisor Nuclear Energy at Executive Advisor Nuclear, EAN since January 2023. Engkvist has held various leadership roles, including CEO of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) from May 2016 to January 2023, and has an extensive background in nuclear operations management with positions at Uniper Sweden, E.ON, OKG AB, and Ringhals AB. Engkvist's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Nuclear Chemistry from the University of Gothenburg and previous leadership in the Nuclear Chemistry Department at Chalmers University of Technology.
