Jörg Seidel

Jörg Seidel is the Director of Renewables Optimization at Vattenfall, where they focus on advancing fossil-free power production. They have held various roles at Vattenfall, including Lead Quantitative Analyst and Head of Power Market Analysis, where they leveraged their expertise in power price forecasting and algorithmic trading. Prior to joining Vattenfall, Jörg was the CEO of Goalimpact and worked as a Senior Risk Controller at HSH Nordbank AG and a Risk Controller at Bremer Landesbank. Jörg began their academic journey at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, earning a Master’s degree in Physics before obtaining a PhD in Corporate Finance and Ship Finance from the University of Hamburg.
