José Blasques, PhD, is the Head of LCoE Performance & Project Risk Management at Vattenfall, where they lead innovative programs to enhance profitability across a multi-GW onshore wind development portfolio. With nearly two decades of experience in technical, commercial, and leadership roles, José has held positions including Senior Researcher and Adjunct Associate Professor, focusing on numerical optimization and structural design in renewable energy. They obtained their PhD from the Technical University of Denmark, specializing in the optimal design of laminated composite beam structures. Additionally, José serves on the Board of Directors for Blakliden Fäbodberget Wind and acts as an external examiner for MSc and BSc theses at the Danish Censorkorps.
