Richard Hebly

Richard Hebly has over a decade of experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Head of Fundamental Analysis at Vattenfall since October 2010. Hebly has held multiple analytical roles, including Senior Quant Analyst and Senior Commodity Analyst, where responsibilities included utilizing Python, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence for business improvement, maintaining fundamental power market models, and conducting market design analyses related to regulatory topics in the European Power Market. Previously, Hebly worked as a Portfolio Analyst, focusing on hedging strategy selection to stabilize financial figures, and as an EMSP Trainee, gaining experience in risk management and asset development. Prior to Vattenfall, Hebly was a Junior Analyst at Nuon, automating sales flow bookings. Education includes a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development from University Utrecht and a Certificate in Quantitative Finance.
