Saima Riaz

Saima Riaz, PhD, is a seasoned geotechnical engineer with extensive experience in both academia and industry. Currently serving as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer and Geotechnical Consultant at Vattenfall since March 2022, Saima previously held positions at WSP i Sverige and Yokohama National University, among others. Saima's academic background includes a PhD in Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering from Waseda University, along with a Postgraduate Degree and Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical and Transportation Engineering, respectively, from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. Notable roles also include Visiting Assistant Professor at Kyoto University and Assistant Professor at the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, highlighting a strong commitment to education and research in the field of geotechnical engineering.
