Sam Callum

Sam Callum is an experienced security and risk management professional with a diverse background in both international development and humanitarian organizations. Currently serving as a Security Risk Manager at Vattenfall since January 2024, Sam focuses on security risk management within the UK’s Heat Business Unit. Previously, Sam held the role of Senior Operations and Security Manager at Integrity, providing operational and risk management support for international projects. Prior positions include Country Security Manager for the Norwegian Refugee Council in Iraq and Country Security Advisor roles for both the Danish Refugee Council in Iraq and South Sudan, where responsibilities included ensuring staff safety and operational continuity. Earlier experience at Save the Children involved roles in safety and security management, as well as support within Global HR. Sam holds a BA (Hons) in International Relations from Keele University and has further education from Oxford Brookes University.
