Sandra Leece

Sandra Leece serves as the Director of Legal, UK and company secretary at Vattenfall, a leading Swedish energy company, since 2009. Prior to this role, Sandra held positions including Acting International Head of Legal Renewables and Projects, Head of Legal UK, and Senior Legal Counsel at Shepherd and Wedderburn from 2002 to 2009, where strategic advice was provided on renewable energy projects across various regions. A brief tenure as Legal Counsel at Meridian Energy in 2007 saw Sandra support renewable energy developments in New Zealand, Australia, and Antarctica, including authoring a report for the New Zealand government on consenting system improvements. Sandra’s legal career began at Dentons, working within the Planning and Public Law team from 1999 to 2001. Educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, French, and Business Law from the University of Stirling and training at the College of Law, York.
