Simon Carroll

Simon Carroll possesses extensive experience in nuclear safety and decommissioning, currently serving as Chair of the ENISS Waste & Decommissioning Safety Group since June 2023. With a career spanning over three decades, Simon has held various roles, including Programme Officer at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and consultant at Greenpeace. Notably, Simon is a member of multiple international bodies, such as the International Decommissioning Network and the Nuclear Liabilities Financing Assurance Board. Contributions to the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency include chairing significant groups focused on cost estimation and management. Simon's educational background includes a degree from the University of Leicester.
