Steffen Nielsen

Steffen Nielsen has extensive experience in the electrical engineering field, particularly in high voltage and medium voltage systems. Currently serving as Package Manager for onshore/offshore substations and Senior Product Manager at Vattenfall since May 2021, Steffen previously held key roles at Semco Maritime from April 2014 to May 2021, including Head of the High Voltage & Medium Voltage department and Lead Electrical Engineer for significant offshore substation projects such as Bligh Bank II and Sandbank. Notable accomplishments include managing the electrical components for these substations, interfacing with suppliers, and ensuring grid code compliance. Steffen's career began as an Engineer at DONG Energy Power A/S, followed by a consulting role at ÅF-Hansen & Henneberg A/S, contributing to the Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link project. Steffen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Engineering from the University of Southern Denmark.
