Peter Lawrence

Peter Lawrence has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Peter currently serves as a Non-Executive Director and Board Chair at Vault Cloud since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Technology and Digital Strategist at HESTA starting from August 2021. Peter has also held positions such as Senior Advisor at State of Matter from November 2017, Director at Go Forward Consulting Ltd from April 2018 to April 2021, and Programme Director of Digital Transformation at O2 (Telefónica UK) from April 2018 to February 2020.

Before that, Peter was the Chief Information Officer for the Department of Defence (Australia) from November 2012 to August 2017. Peter also held the role of Group Manager IT, Energy Markets at Origin Energy from August 2011 to November 2012. Peter's previous experience includes serving as the Chief Information Officer at ANZ New Zealand from March 2008 to March 2011, and Head of Infrastructure at ANZ New Zealand from April 2007 to March 2008.

Earlier in their career, Peter worked at Shell in various positions. Peter was the Global Process Manager of Application Development Functional Excellence from January 2005 to April 2007 and the Operations Manager of IT Professional Services Asia Pacific from August 2002 to December 2004. Additionally, they held the role of Information Technology Country Leader for Shell Australia from January 2005 to April 2007.

Peter Lawrence completed their education history as follows:

- In 1982-1985, they attended the University of Nottingham and obtained a Bachelor of Science with Honors (BSc Hons) in Chemistry.

- From 1985 to 1988, they attended the University of Bath and achieved a PhD in Chemistry.

- In 2015-2016, they graduated as a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

- In 2016, Peter attended the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford to complete the Oxford Advanced Management and Leadership Program.
