Averi Ayala

Averi Ayala's work experience includes a role as a Customer Service Representative at Vault Health since November 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Programs Assistant at YMCA of the Rockies from January 2019 to January 2020. In this role, they directed, assisted, and booked activities for guests, instructed children on rock climbing procedures, and designed and facilitated Escape Rooms for families. Averi also has research assistant experience, having worked at multiple organizations such as the Sign Language Linguistics Lab from December 2015 to June 2018, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The University of Hong Kong, University of Chicago, Center for Gesture, Sign and Language, and Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago (TTIC). Their research assistant roles involved various tasks including coding data, recruiting participants, conducting experiments, and annotating data.

Averi Ayala graduated from the University of Chicago in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Linguistics. In May 2019, they obtained a certification as a Belay Certified professional from the YMCA of the Rockies.
