Previously, they worked at Convergint Technologies, developing new partnerships within the UK & EMEA region. At Mitie, they held the positions of Sector Lead - Higher Education and Solutions Director. Prior to that, they worked as an Area Sales Manager at Openview Security Solutions Limited. Steve also has experience in the public sector, having served as a Public Sector Security Manager and BDM - Technical Services Specialist Solutions at OCS Group UK. Additionally, they held roles such as Sales Manager at Quadrant Security Group, Public Sector Account Manager at UK Broadband, and National Enforcement Sales Manager at Civica UK. Earlier in their career, they served as the Director of Sales Police Sector at Integrian UK Ltd and as a National Account Manager at Kaba UK Ltd.

Steve Clift earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from the University of Wolverhampton between 1994 and 1996. Before that, they completed their A Levels in English Language & Literature, Psychology, and Human Biology at Stourbridge College from 1992 to 1994. Steve'seducation journey began at Crestwood School, where they studied Business Management and Psychology from 1988 to 1992.
