Joel Bashevkin

Joel Bashevkin is currently the COO at VC Include. Prior to this, they were the Director of Social Ventures at Tides from October 2017 to June 2021. At Tides, Joel led an expert team that delivered critical strategic and operational services to hundreds of social entrepreneurial organizations. As Director of Social Ventures, Joel was responsible for leading the largest US based fiscal sponsorship organization of 150 nonprofits with 750 employees and $262M annual budget. Joel also guided the growth of the program by 50% during their tenure with stable, scaled staffing, infrastructure and systems implementations.

In addition, Joel provided executive organizational development coaching and leadership for fiscal sponsors, and nonprofit intermediaries and field leaders. Joel also led Tides’ initial theory of change process to clarify and refine the impact goals for measurable results. Thanks to Joel’s leadership, Tides was able to provide high-quality, consistent service delivery and resolve issues of concerns of partners.

Joel Bashevkin earned their B.A. in Nutritional Anthopology from Tufts University and their M.A. in Public Policy & Non Profit Management from the same school.

They are on a team with Ivy Binns - Senior Administrative Assistant, Jody Weiss - Director, New Business Development, and Ostella Adam - Senior Program Manager. Joel Bashevkin reports to Bahiyah Yasmeen Robinson, Founder & CEO.
