Alan Docherty

Alan Docherty is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles across multiple industries. Currently serving as a Consulting CFO at vcfo since March 2024, Alan provides a comprehensive suite of finance, HR, and recruiting support aimed at enhancing operational performance. Prior to this, Alan operated as the Principal Consultant at Docherty Consulting & Finance LLC, advising private equity-backed companies on finance, strategy, and IT/ERP, while also stepping into interim CFO/CIO roles. Alan's earlier positions include Chief Financial Officer at Diamond Mattress and Senior Director of Integration Services at PLZ Corp, where a focus was placed on integrating acquired companies and leading finance teams. Alan's foundational expertise in finance was developed through educational qualifications, including an MBA from USC Marshall School of Business and a BS in Finance from Cal State Fullerton.
