Carter Freeman has over 35 years of work experience, starting their career as a Senior Accountant at PwC. Carter then moved on to become Vice President, Controller, and Treasurer at West Coast Bancorp and Sunwest Bank, where they built and managed a finance team and was responsible for various financial functions. Following this, Carter worked as Assistant Treasurer at Associated Natural Gas, Inc., where they managed cash balances and lines of credit. Carter also held the position of Controller at Integration Alliance Corp., where they developed systems and managed cash for a national distributor.

Carter later served as Chief Financial Officer at TEC Direct, Inc., a children's educational software catalog company, and at Powerworx Online, Inc., a national internet service provider. Carter assumed these roles after working as Chief Financial Officer for International Cruise and Excursions, Inc., Our Vacation Store.com, Inc., and Bid4Vacations.com, Inc., where they oversaw finance and accounting operations.

In 2003, Carter took on the role of Chief Financial Officer for Brain Matters, Inc., a brain function imaging clinic, where they set up financial and accounting operations.

Most recently, Carter held the positions of Managing Director and Vice President, Western Region at vcfo, where they provided finance, HR, technology, and recruiting support.

Carter Freeman holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Colorado Boulder. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Montana State University-Bozeman. Carter also attended the University of Puget Sound, where they focused on Accounting and Business/Management, although they did not obtain a degree from there. Carter Freeman received their High School Diploma from Punahou School. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the State of Colorado.
