Michael Porth, CPP

Michael Porth, CPP has a long history of work experience. From 2011 to present, they have worked as a Senior International Security Manager for VDI, Inc., covering Latin America, the Caribbean, and Western Europe. Michael has also held the role of International Security Manager for Latin America, the Caribbean, and East Asia, as well as Security and Intelligence Analyst for Latin America and the Caribbean. In 2011, they also worked as a Research Assistant for the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START). From 2007 to 2011, they were self-employed as a General Contractor for home maintenance and improvement. In 2006, they volunteered as an English as a Second Language Teacher in Bribrí, Costa Rica for WorldTeach. Finally, from 2004 to 2006, they were an Alumni Volunteer Corps Teacher for the University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy.

Michael Porth, CPP obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Spanish from the University of Michigan in 2004. Michael then went on to earn their Master of Arts in International Affairs from American University in 2011. In 2015, they obtained the Certified Protection Professional certification from ASIS International.
