Ryan Schmidt has a diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry. Ryan started their career in 2004 as a Technical Support II at IRON Solutions. In 2005, they joined Vecima Networks as an Engineering Technologist, where they tested and supported products in the lab environment. Ryan then progressed to become a Supervisor of CATV Applications Engineering Support, overseeing support for customers using Cable TV products.

In 2011, Ryan briefly worked as a Team Lead - Field Technician at EmergiTel Inc. before returning to Vecima Networks in 2012. Ryan held various roles at Vecima Networks, including Manager and Senior Manager of Advanced Technical Support, Director of Global Customer Support, Senior Director of Global Support, and Vice President of Customer Operations, Broadband and Cable.
