Jay Doyle has over 20 years of work experience in the field of embedded systems engineering and firmware development. Jay started their career as a Research Engineer at the University of Illinois, where they worked on building a stochastic modeling software application. Jay then joined Cii Associates, Inc. as a Senior Engineer before moving on to Honeywell, where they worked as an Embedded Systems Engineer. At Honeywell, they developed firmware for the company's industrial control systems and led the team for the initial release of Honeywell's OneWireless industrial sensor network. Jay later joined Honeywell Enraf as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, where they developed firmware for embedded industrial controllers used in the downstream oil industry applications. Jay'swork included leading a global team during the development of the new Fusion4 portfolio of loading automation products. Currently, they are employed at Vecna Robotics, where they have held various roles including Principal Embedded Software Engineer, Chief Engineer, Firmware, Director of Embedded Systems, Director of Hardware Engineering, and currently serves as the VP of Hardware.

Jay Doyle has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University, which they obtained from 1993 to 1997. Jay later pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1997 to 1999.
