Akash R. has over 10 years of professional experience in the scientific field. In 2009, they began working as a Research Assistant at Sandia National Laboratories. In 2015, they transitioned to AOSense, Inc., where they served as Principal Physicist. In this role, they were the lead technical contributor for a NASA funded prototype gravity gradiometer quantum sensor. Akash successfully demonstrated key technical milestones supporting a next generation time variable gravity mapping mission, and was the project lead for supporting technologies. In 2019, they moved to Vector Atomic, where they are currently employed as a Senior Scientist.
Akash R. attended Harvey Mudd College from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics. Akash then attended The University of New Mexico from 2009 to 2015, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Physics.
