Matthew Cashen has worked in the scientific and research field for over 15 years. Matthew began their career in 2005 as a Principal Physicist for Raytheon. In 2012, they joined AOSense, Inc. as Vice President of the R&D Sensors Division. During their time at AOSense, Inc., they were responsible for managing a team of 20 PhD physicists and engineers, leading laboratory and field testing efforts, and overseeing technical content for proposal development. Matthew also directed internal R&D funds resulting in the development of a laser servo ASIC chip and a prototype cold atom accelerometer. In 2018, they joined Vector Atomic as Chief Scientist.
Matthew Cashen obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from Stony Brook University between 1996 and 2002. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Colgate University.
