Markus Oertel

Markus Oertel currently serves as Vice President of Business Development and Sales at VECTOR Informatik, leading global efforts in business development and sales for embedded software products since July 2015. Previously, Markus held positions such as Head of Business Development and Sales and Manager of Product Management, overseeing technical product management for AUTOSAR-related initiatives. Before joining VECTOR, Markus was a Senior Researcher at OFFIS, focusing on automotive functional safety and representing the institute in the AUTOSAR consortium. Markus began their career as a Student Research Assistant at Fraunhofer ENAS and later interned at Siemens Medical Solutions USA. Educationally, Markus earned a Dr.-Ing. in Informatics from Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg and a Dipl. Inf. in Computer Science from Paderborn University.
