Dan Sachar

Dan Sachar is Vice President, Enterprise Innovation and Managing Director of our wholly owned subsidiary, New Valley Ventures LLC. Prior to joining Vector Group, Mr. Sachar served as Vice President, Enterprise Innovation of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. (NYSE American: LTS). He led Ladenburg’s innovation platform, created a new division called the “Innovation Lab” and launched an industry-leading initiative to modernize and grow the nationwide network of independent financial advisors, until February 2020 when the company was sold to Advisor Group, a portfolio company of Reverence Capital Partners. Prior to joining Ladenburg, he spent seven years in management consulting at a New York-based firm focused on innovation and growth, helping launch new businesses for public companies such as GE (NYSE: GE), Reed Elsevier (NYSE: RELX), and others.

Mr. Sachar serves as a member of the Miami Children’s Museum Board of Directors and of the School Board of Directors of the Temple Beth Am Day School, and previously served as a member of the Friends of New World Symphony Executive Board.

Mr. Sachar received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Swarthmore College and a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia Business School.
