Fred Schmid

Fred Schmid CPA possesses extensive experience in accounting and finance, currently serving as the Controller for Vector Group LTD since September 2008. In this role, Fred is responsible for the preparation of SEC filings, monthly reporting packages, and oversight of various accounting processes, including business combinations for significant acquisitions. Prior to Vector Group, Fred worked as an Audit Senior and Tax Senior at Deloitte from August 2003 to September 2008, conducting financial audits, supervising staff, and managing tax engagements for various industries. Fred earned a Master’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Florida and holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida - Warrington College of Business.
