Benjamin Fine

Benjamin Fine is a highly accomplished clinician scientist and educator with extensive experience in the healthcare and AI sectors. Currently serving as the founder and lead at the AI Deployment and Evaluation Lab within Trillium Health Partners since July 2016, Benjamin has been instrumental in the evaluation and deployment of clinical AI technologies. Alongside roles as a radiologist and physician lead in quality and informatics, Benjamin is a partner at Engine Health Capital, focusing on private capital in healthcare data and AI. As a faculty affiliate at the Vector Institute and an assistant professor at the University of Toronto's Department of Medical Imaging, Benjamin oversees various graduate projects in healthcare analytics. Additionally, Benjamin has held advisory positions at several health tech startups and was a co-founder and board member of HaloHealth, Canada's physician angel network. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a medical degree from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Engineering Science in Biochemical Engineering from Western University.
